Box Alarm in Woodstock, 1-4-15

The Woodstock Fire Rescue Department was called to 1033 Wanda Drive for a reported structure fire that escalated to a General Alarm. Upon arrival, firefighters noticed smoke coming from the roof. After about 15 minutes, the incident commander requested additional resources and activated MABAS Box 5-32 at the box alarm level.

Several units responded to the scene. The engines from Huntley and Nunda Rural were on the scene, along with the truck from McHenry Township. The chief units included Crystal Lake and Union, while the squad from Wonder Lake was also present. An engine from Union was designated as RIT (Rapid Intervention Team). The Mess Canteen unit provided support, and several other agencies were dispatched, including Marengo EMS, Spring Grove Engine, Rutland-Dundee Engine, Harvard EMS, and Algonquin Engine.
