Application of pulse jet bag filter in dryer (2)

The GMC pulse jet bag filter is designed with advanced features that enhance efficiency, reduce maintenance, and improve overall performance. One of its key advantages is the effective cleaning process, where each row of filter bags is cleaned using high kinetic energy. This ensures even distribution of cleaning force, thorough dust removal, and a low operating resistance, typically below 1200 Pa. The filter bags can be as long as 8 meters, providing a large length-to-diameter ratio. This design reduces the overall size and weight of the dust collector, making it more compact and lightweight. In fact, the GMC model weighs about half as much as a similar air volume counter-blow bag filter. During the cleaning process, only a small amount of high-pressure gas is used to induce clean, high-temperature gas from around the nozzle, creating an efficient airflow for dust removal. This minimizes the introduction of cold air into the system, improving both resistance and anti-condensation performance. The system supports both offline and online cleaning methods, allowing for maintenance and bag replacement without shutting down the equipment. This enhances operational continuity and reduces downtime. Another notable feature is the use of an air intake and external filtration method, combined with a dust uniform distribution device. This pre-collects dust before it reaches the filter bags, reducing wear on the equipment and extending the life of the filter media. It also enables the system to handle high concentrations of dust effectively. GMC filters can be customized based on the characteristics of the dust produced by the dryer. Domestic filter materials ensure a filtration speed of approximately 1.0 m/min with dust emission levels below 50 mg/Nm³, while imported high-quality materials can achieve a filtration speed of up to 1.2 m/min with emissions as low as 10 mg/Nm³. To prevent condensation and wear, the system incorporates high-pressure pulse jet cleaning technology, which uses compressed air to generate clean hot gas for effective cleaning. The external filtration method also helps protect the bag mouth from abrasion. Additionally, the pre-dust collection system with a settling and uniform wind device ensures even distribution of dusty gas, reducing the load on the filter bags and minimizing wear from coarse particles. This pre-settling process allows some dust to drop into the hopper before reaching the filter, protecting other components of the system. Depending on the type of dust, suitable anti-condensation filter media can be selected. The system is equipped with temperature alarms and protection measures, ensuring safe operation even when exhaust temperatures exceed 120°C. A wide range of filter media options—normal, medium, and high-temperature—are available to meet different requirements. Internal corrosion and wear resistance are also addressed through the use of wear-resistant materials in critical areas, such as the wind deflector devices. The interior of the dust collector and bag cages are coated with high-temperature resistant anti-corrosive paint after rust removal. Strict processing techniques minimize leakage, keeping the system’s leakage rate at 2% or less. An electric or pneumatic double valve can be used to control air discharge. The insulation layer of the dust collector is well-designed, ensuring good thermal performance. In a real-world application, a cement plant using a Ф2.4m×18m rotary steel slag dryer with an air volume of 40,000 m³/h successfully implemented the GMC system. The results showed a dust collector resistance below 1000 Pa and an emission concentration under 50 mg/Nm³. Compared to traditional systems, the GMC pulse jet bag filter offers higher efficiency, lower resistance, and reduced power consumption. It also provides greater flexibility in selecting filter media based on the specific conditions of the exhaust gas, significantly improving the cost-performance ratio of the entire system. After the implementation of the "Emission Standard for Air Pollutants in the Cement Industry" (GB4915-2004), the GMC pulse jet bag filter has become the preferred replacement for conventional dryer bag filters, offering superior performance and compliance.
