Here are some photos from a fire that happened today (Friday) in Stickney. The incident took place inside a boiler room at an industrial facility called Olympic Oil. When the firefighters arrived, they immediately noticed heavy smoke coming out of the building. Fire lines were quickly deployed, and the fire was brought under control. Auto aid came from Forest View, and these images were captured by Lestor Antos, a firefighter with Forest View.
The fire was contained relatively quickly, and no injuries have been reported so far. Local residents were advised to stay indoors due to the heavy smoke. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but early reports suggest it may have started in the boiler room. Firefighters worked for several hours to fully extinguish the flames and ensure the area was safe. The community has expressed gratitude to the brave men and women who responded to the emergency, including those from Forest View who provided critical support.
