This is an out-of-service photo of the X-Calumet Park ambulance, unit 2262. It was later replaced by a 2002 Ford/Marque ambulance, which I believe was originally assigned to Crystal Lake but I haven't confirmed that yet.Another interesting point about this ambulance's history is that it was originally owned by the Garden Homes Fire Protection District, located in nearby Alsip, Illinois.The photo of the ambulance when it was in service with Garden Homes was taken by Bill Friedrich.
