Friday afternoon on April 14th, 2017, emergency services from Prospect Heights and Arlington Heights were dispatched to the intersection of Hintz and Schoenbeck Roads due to reports of a serious car accident involving a rollover and requiring vehicle extrication. Upon their arrival, firefighters found a chaotic scene. A minivan with an elderly driver had veered off the road and collided with a stationary car parked in a nearby lot. Meanwhile, a Nissan SUV had overturned entirely, rolling onto its roof before coming to rest upright on the adjacent sidewalk. Thankfully, all individuals involved were already outside the vehicles by the time the first responders arrived.
The driver of the minivan was promptly taken to a local hospital in Prospect Heights Ambulance 9 for further evaluation. However, two passengers from the Nissan SUV declined any medical treatment or transportation to the hospital.
