On Friday afternoon, April 14th, 2017, emergency responders from both Prospect Heights and Arlington Heights were dispatched to the intersection of Hintz and Schoenbeck Roads due to reports of a serious traffic accident involving a rollover. The scene was chaotic as crews arrived to find a minivan that had veered off the road and collided with a stationary vehicle in a nearby parking lot. Fortunately, the elderly driver of the van was already outside the vehicle by the time help arrived.
In addition to the minivan incident, there was also a dramatic roll-over involving a Nissan SUV. This particular vehicle had spun out of control, eventually flipping completely over before coming to rest upright on the adjacent sidewalk. Thankfully, all individuals involved had exited the SUV prior to the arrival of first responders.
The injured driver of the minivan was promptly transported to a nearby hospital via Prospect Heights Ambulance 9. Meanwhile, two occupants from the Nissan SUV declined any medical assistance or further transportation to a facility.
