From ldv.com:
We recently wrapped up building this mobile command center for the City of Naperville in Illinois. The vehicle is based on a Freightliner M2 106 conventional single rear axle chassis with a 33,000 GVWR, powered by a Cummins L9 360HP diesel engine and an Allison 3000 EVS automatic transmission. The entire body is crafted from aluminum and features two in-house fabricated flat floor slide-outs along with our Intel-I-Touchâ„¢ vehicle automation system. We also installed an exterior charging station, an exterior workstation, and our Extreme Duty body storage compartments. A non-locking rear pneumatic mast with perimeter surveillance cameras was added, along with a vehicle leveling system for stability on-site. For security and access, we installed a TriMark keyless entry system with a remote RF transmitter fob. Whelen emergency and scene lighting was fitted to the exterior, and a custom pull-out aluminum stair cassette was incorporated for easy entry.
Inside, the command center offers a front work area with two sets of café-style seating designed and built in-house for staff. We added magnetic surface dry erase whiteboards to the side walls and mounted a 55-inch high-resolution display monitor on the front wall. Two more 32-inch monitors were added to the front section as well. The central part of the vehicle houses a large electronics rack and a closet with adjustable shelving. Magnetic soft-close pocket doors provide privacy between sections.
The rear conference room features a central table with six spider base task chairs. Two additional workstations are located in the curbside rear slide-out. A 65-inch high-resolution display monitor is mounted on the streetside wall, while a 55-inch Vibe smartboard with conferencing camera is installed on the rear wall.
For climate control, the vehicle is equipped with three ducted low-profile rooftop air conditioning units controlled by a wall thermostat, along with two direct-discharge diesel-fired furnaces. A powerful 20kW liquid-cooled diesel generator ensures ample electrical power. A full vehicle surge protection system safeguards all installed electronics. A Will-Burt Night Scan LED telescoping light tower and four perimeter IP cameras are also part of the setup. An Extron 4K 16x8 video matrix switcher manages all video sources.
