The 18th Battalion responded to a working fire at a red-X building located at 3849 Flournoy Street. Chicago Police helicopter 'PH1' reported the incident on the Zone, noting that a house was on fire and it was burning intensely. Engine 95 arrived first and immediately deployed their deck gun due to heavy fire visible from the second floor. Fire companies quickly stretched two 2.5-inch lines for an exterior attack, while Squad 1 positioned their snorkel in the vacant lot on Side D, starting to apply water to control the spread.The situation remained critical as crews worked to contain the flames, with multiple units involved in both interior and exterior operations.
