Anyang Forging Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. has made a breakthrough with the development of its first fully hydraulic CNC die forging hammer. Remarkably, even when standing less than 3 meters away, one doesn’t feel the vibration generated during its operation. According to Liu Fuhai, the company’s chairman, this innovation not only overcomes the limitations of traditional steam die forging hammers in achieving precise forging but also offers constant energy strikes, program-controlled operations, high-impact precision, and energy efficiency. The foundation design reduces vibration by over 90%, while the price is just one-third of similar imported foreign models, making it highly competitive in the market.
The company invests heavily in R&D, with more than 75 out of 500 employees directly involved in product development. Annual R&D investment exceeds 5% of total sales revenue, and nearly half of the company’s sales come from new products. Thanks to its focus on technological advancement, the company now holds a 60% domestic market share for its hammer products. As of October this year, the company achieved sales of 110 million yuan. Liu Fuhai stated that these achievements are largely due to product structure adjustments and the development of high-tech solutions. Once the "full hydraulic CNC die forging hammer" and "CNC forging hydraulic press" projects are completed within three years, the company expects an additional annual output value of 700 million yuan.
By leveraging high-tech industrialization, Anyang Forging Machinery has significantly boosted its profitability, demonstrating the critical role of technology in upgrading traditional industries. Following principles such as “focusing on key areas†and “supporting key projects,†the city has prioritized the commercialization of high-tech achievements, driving industrial upgrades and structural reforms. By supporting SMEs in implementing high-tech projects, the city has seen impressive results.
Over the years, Anyang has developed several important high-tech projects across fields like electronics, mechatronics, new materials, fine chemicals, and biotechnology. Projects include large-screen color tube glass bulbs, DVD discs, CNC boilers, digital communication cables, linolenic acid, genetically modified cotton, and special high-speed wire, among others. As of November, the city had 130 high-tech products recognized at the provincial level, with nearly 50 high-tech industrialization projects underway at both provincial and municipal levels.
To ensure long-term growth, Anyang supports key industries like Ancai Group and Angang Group, encouraging them to enter the high-tech sector and implement high-growth projects. The city is also cultivating a group of high-tech "little giants." Companies like Fangqiao Boiler, Feiyin Digital, Huayu Special Steel, Yuxin, Linuo, Huashuai, and Anda have emerged as leaders in their respective fields.
For instance, Yuxin Company expanded its production capacity from 2,500 tons to 5,000 tons through its "high-purity xylose" project. With a purity of 99.5%, its technical and economic indicators rank among the best domestically, and it holds the top production capacity in China. It is the second-largest producer globally in its industry, achieving a growth rate of over 30% annually. This year, its "10,000 tons/year high-purity xylitol" project was included in the National Torch Program. Upon completion, it will generate 210 million yuan in annual output and 68.75 million yuan in profit and tax. Additionally, Yuxin has partnered with Danisco, a global leader in food additives, marking its entry into the international market with promising future prospects.
