Working fire in Park Ridge, 2-18-16 (more)

Here's what Steve Redick shared about the incident:

I arrived on scene Thursday to a fire in a one-story addition attached to the back of a house. There was heavy fire coming from the structure, and Exposure B was at risk for a short time before I got there. From what I could tell, a lot of hidden areas had to be opened up, likely due to the construction style of the addition. Fortunately, the fire was brought under control quickly. One thing worth noting is that the tower ladder, which was the first unit on scene, was used as an engine company and supplied all the attack lines.

There were several images shared by Steve, showing the aftermath of the fire, including the damaged fire engine and the scene at the Park Ridge house. A video of the event was also posted, giving a more detailed view of the situation on the ground. These photos and videos help provide a clearer picture of how the fire progressed and how the crews responded under pressure. It’s always valuable to see real-life accounts like this from those who were on the front lines.
