From John Tulipano:
Around 1:20 PM today (May 16, 2014), TriComm put out a general alarm for a reported fire at 1612 Ronzheimer in St. Charles. When I arrived roughly five minutes after the dispatch, the first responding units were already advancing a second hose line and working on forcing entry into the garage. The flames were quickly brought under control. Luckily, only one small dog needed rescuing.
[Attached are several photos taken by me.]
The first image shows firefighters cutting through the garage door to gain access. In another shot, you can see the team inside the structure as they work to extinguish the blaze. There’s also a picture of a firefighter carefully carrying the rescued dog to safety. Another photo highlights the impressive presence of the St. Charles Fire Department’s trucks on the scene.

Writing this from the scene, it's clear that everyone involved responded swiftly and efficiently to keep things under control. It’s always a relief when these situations have relatively minor outcomes like this one did.
