This is a 2001 Pierce Saber tilt-cab chassis fire truck, equipped with an 8.7L inline six-cylinder diesel engine. It features a 40 Series Detroit Diesel powerplant and a 1,500-gallon-per-minute Waterous CS series pump. The last pump test was conducted on August 2018 and passed successfully.

However, the frame shows significant rust, especially in the right front section. The motor requires a major overhaul, currently producing a substantial amount of blow-by.

Despite these issues, all equipment onboard remains functional. Lights and sirens can stay on the vehicle if you're an authorized emergency services provider but will be removed otherwise. Decals will also be removed prior to the sale. The generator is not included.

This engine was taken out of regular service in September 2019 and retained only as an emergency reserve unit.

It starts and runs without issue. This vehicle is classified as being in POOR condition.

253 pump hours is accurate, while 2,776 engine hours is incorrect.

The vehicle is being sold AS-IS, so a physical inspection is highly recommended.

Thanks, Martin!
--- This listing caught my eye because it's a rare opportunity to own a piece of firefighting history. While the condition isn't great, the potential uses for such a vehicle could be endless—whether you're restoring it or repurposing it. I'd definitely recommend checking it out in person if possible!
