Ito power diesel generator necessary check before starting

Please develop the habit of visual inspection of the engine and engine compartment of the diesel generator set prior to starting. This will help you quickly discover if an anomaly has occurred or is about to occur. After starting the engine, also check whether the meter and warning display show normal values.

Note: Do not use starter jets or similar products as starting assistants. Explosion hazard!

Before starting

1. Check if the oil level is between the MIN and MAX marks.

2. For refuelling, please refer to the oil level, check and fill it up.

3. Open the tank switch.

4. Check for leaks of coolant, fuel, or oil.

5. Check the air filter pressure drop indicator. Please refer to engine, overview

6. Check the coolant level. Check if the heat sink's periphery is blocked. Please refer to coolant level, check and top up.

Caution: Do not open the coolant filler cap except in an emergency. Serious injury may result. Vapors or hot fluids may expel.

7. Turn on the main switch.

Note: Do not use the main switch to disconnect the circuit during engine operation as this will damage the alternator.

8. Set the engine speed control to idle. Separate separable clutches/transmissions.
