I was at the Carol Stream station when we received a report about a house fire. As soon as it came in, I responded along with the rest of the crew. The police already had reports of visible smoke in the area. When Carol Stream Battalion 28 arrived on scene, they confirmed light smoke coming from 409 Thunderbird Trail, which was less than a mile away from our station.
The fire itself turned out to be relatively small, and our teams managed it effectively using portable pumps.
