According to CCTV International's sources, from January to May, in the “2005 Red Shield Protecting Farmers†campaign, which focused on the investigation of agricultural capital cases and the eradication of the behavior of peasants, industrial and commercial authorities at all levels across the country investigated and dealt with 15,000 cases of counterfeiting of counterfeit and inferior agricultural products. More than one item, smashed nearly 200 fake fabrics of fake agricultural products and seized a total of 19.6357 million kilograms of agricultural products, which saved 195 million yuan in economic losses for farmers.

The seeds distributed by the Shouyang Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. of Anhui Province are inconsistent with the production license labels. In 10 cases, the 10 cases involved counterfeit and counterfeit seeds; the other 10 cases of counterfeit fertilizers investigated include the case of distribution of counterfeit and deteriorating fertilizers by Tangmou in Suining County of Jiangsu Province and Fengnong Chemical Fertilizer Co., Ltd. of Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. The illegal sales of fertilizer cases, etc., their main features are: no product certification or pass the non-qualified.
