According to the National Engineering Construction Standardization Information Network, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China issued an announcement on November 29th. The National Architectural Lighting Design Standard was officially implemented on June 1, 2014. The standard was drafted by the Ministry of Urban and Rural Construction, numbered GB50034-2013, submitted to the State Council for review, and implemented in accordance with national standards. Among them, Articles 6.3.3, 6.3.4, 6.3.5, 6.3.7, 6.3.9, 6.3.10, 6.3.11, 6.3.12, 6.3.13, 6.3.14, and 6.3.15 are mandatory. The provisions must be strictly enforced. The original national standard "Architectural Lighting Design Standards" GB50034-2004 was abolished at the same time. The standard was published by the China Construction Industry Press, organized by the Standardized Institute of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
The formulation of this standard will greatly improve the lighting situation of urban and rural buildings, and also point the way for the future development of urban and rural architectural lighting. According to the relevant regulations of the standard, it will greatly promote the future development of the lighting industry, and provide legal basis and standard scale for the relevant enterprises and specific implementers of the lighting industry, which has played a specific role in regulating the lighting industry.
