IntroductionThe KCB gear pump is designed for conveying liquids that do not contain solid particles or fibers. It is suitable for non-corrosive fluids with a temperature not exceeding 80°C and a viscosity ranging from 5 × 10-6 to 1.5 × 10-3 m²/s (5-1500 cSt), such as lubricating oil or similar liquids.




Features
1. The KCB horizontal multistage gear oil centrifugal pump features a vertical structure with a compact footprint. Its center of gravity aligns with the pump foot, ensuring smooth operation, minimal vibration, and an extended service life.
2. With the same caliber and horizontal center line, it can be directly installed in any part of the pipeline without modifying the pipeline structure, making installation extremely convenient.
3. The motor, equipped with a rain cover, can be placed outdoors without the need for a dedicated pump room, significantly reducing capital investment.
4. The pump head can be adjusted by changing the number of impellers, allowing it to meet different requirements and offering a wide range of applications.
5. The shaft seal uses a carbide mechanical seal, providing reliable sealing, no leakage, and reduced mechanical loss.

1. Used to transport clean water or liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to clear liquid.
2. The liquid must be free of solid particles, fibers, corrosive substances, and explosive risks.
3. Maximum liquid temperature should not exceed 120°C.
4. Maximum working pressure should not exceed 2.5 MPa.
5. Power supply is three-phase 380V, 50Hz, with voltage fluctuations within ±5%.
6. Ambient temperature should be below 40°C, and relative humidity should be under 95%.

1. Ensure the pipe weight does not bear on the pump or vulnerable parts.
2. The pump has a complete motor structure, pre-calibrated at the factory, so no adjustment is needed during installation, making it very convenient.
3. Before installation, check carefully for any hard materials (such as stones, iron sand) that may block the impeller, which could cause damage.
4. During installation, tighten the anchor bolts and check periodically to prevent loosening, avoiding violent vibrations upon startup that could affect performance.
5. For convenience and safety, install a control valve on the inlet and outlet pipelines and a pressure gauge near the pump. For high lift, install a check valve before the outlet gate to handle sudden power outages, ensuring optimal pump operation and extending its lifespan.
6. For suction applications, install a valve at the end of the pipeline and ensure the inlet pipe has few bends to avoid leakage, which could impact the pump’s suction performance. Start and Stop
Preparation Before Starting
1. Manually turn the coupling to ensure the impeller rotates freely without any jamming.
2. Open the inlet valve and exhaust valve to fill the pump chamber with liquid, then close the exhaust valve.
3. If pumping hot liquid, preheat the pump at a rate of 50°C per hour through continuous circulation to ensure even heating.
4. Manually activate the pump several times to allow lubrication fluid to reach the mechanical seal face.
5. Check the motor direction to ensure it is correct.
Start and Operation
1. Fully open the inlet valve and close the discharge valve.
2. Connect the power and gradually open the discharge valve once the pump reaches normal speed, adjusting to the required conditions.
3. Monitor the instrument readings, check the shaft seal leakage (normal leakage is about 3 drops per minute), and ensure the motor and bearing temperature stays below 70°C. Address any abnormalities promptly.
Shutdown
1. Gradually close the discharge valve.
2. Close the inlet valve.
3. If the ambient temperature is below 0°C, drain the pump to prevent freezing and cracking.
4. For long-term shutdown, disassemble, clean, package, and store the pump properly. Repair and Maintenance
Operation, Maintenance, and Care
1. The inlet pipe must be tightly sealed to prevent leaks.
2. Long-term cavitation operation is strictly prohibited.
3. Avoid operating the pump under high flow conditions that could cause motor overcurrent.
4. Regularly check the motor current to ensure the pump operates within design parameters.
5. A person should monitor the pump during operation to prevent accidents.
6. Refuel the pump after every 500 hours of operation.
7. After long-term use, due to wear and tear, noise and vibration may increase. Inspect the pump, replace worn parts and bearings, and perform a major overhaul annually.
Mechanical Seal Maintenance and Repair
1. The mechanical seal lubricant must be clean and free of solid particles.
2. Dry grinding of the mechanical seal is strictly prohibited.
3. Before starting the pump, manually activate it a few times to prevent sudden start-up damage to the mechanical seal. Causes of Failure and Troubleshooting
