These photos were taken around 1950 by an amateur photographer whose last name was Augustyn, though I don’t know his first name.The fire occurred at the northeast corner of Diversey and Pulaski, on the same lot as the current Walgreens store, which is next to Engine 91’s station. The blaze was in the Rainbo Lanes Bowling Alley. The closest fire truck to the building is Truck 35, and the one with its ladder raised appears to be Truck 13, though it's a bit hard to read. The water tower in the background is Tower #2. I hope these images bring back some memories or spark your interest in Chicago's fire history.
