Experts suggested that the government should tilt industrialization of biopesticides, increase support, introduce risk investment funds, and use biopesticides to drive the development of other scientific and technological agricultural industries. Institutions of higher learning and scientific research institutions must strengthen basic research, attach importance to the research and development of new formulations, new technologies, and new equipment for pesticide processing, and develop new types of biological pesticides that are completely independent intellectual property, efficient, safe, and of value to use. At the same time, we must integrate resources and form a number of large-scale bio-pesticides companies with development capabilities and large-scale production throughout the country.
According to statistics, there are more than 200 bio-pesticides registered in the country, but the annual output is only 120,000 to 130,000 tons, accounting for 10% of the country's total pesticide production. At present, 50 kinds of active ingredients of biological pesticides are registered in China, accounting for 15% of the total active ingredients of pesticides in China; 411 biological pesticide products, accounting for 8% of the total number of pesticide products; use area of ​​400 million mu, annual growth rate of biological pesticides 4%.
