8mm Fully Automatic Copper Rod Making Machine
The copper rod continuous casting machine is specifically designed for producing copper rods of various sizes.
In the production line, copper cathodes are first placed into the furnace through a lifting system for preheating. The feeding speed is adjusted according to the casting speed, then the copper cathode is fed into the melting furnace for melting (with argon gas used to prevent oxidation). It flows into the transition section (still using argon gas to avoid oxygen) and then into the holding furnace. From there, it moves into the crystallizer, where the copper rods are formed. The molten copper then goes through the casting device, passes through the output frame, separates on the shelf, and is controlled by the tension tower to regulate the take-up speed. Finally, it is coiled by the take-up machine, completing the process.
The copper rod continuous casting machine is the core component of the production line. It consists of a drawing mechanism, liquid level control system, and a freezing unit.
The drawing mechanism includes an AC servo motor, two sets of drawing rollers, and more. It can rotate between 0–1000 RPM and continuously draw the copper rod using the drawing rollers. One drawing mechanism can drive five drawing rollers and produce five copper rods simultaneously. The liquid level control system ensures that the depth of the freezing unit in the molten copper remains stable. The freezing unit cools the molten copper into solid rods through heat exchange. Each freezing unit can be independently adjusted and replaced.
4. Guide Pulley Frame
The guide pulley frame is installed above the continuous casting machine. It consists of a platform, support, vertical guide pulleys, and a cylinder. It ensures that the copper rod is smoothly guided to the double-head winding machine without any disturbance.
5. Limiting Device
The limiting device is installed between the guide pulley frame and the double-head winding machine. It features five groups of 24V up and down sensors that control the speed of the winding machine based on electrical signals generated when the copper rod touches the sensors.
6. Double-Station Winding Machine
The double-station winding machine consists of drawing rollers, a rotating chassis, and a spooling take-up unit. Each machine can wind two copper rods at once.
7. Cooling Water System
The cooling water system is a closed-loop system that supplies 0.2–0.4 MPa cooling water to the freezing unit, water jacket, and coil. It consists of a 150m³ water tank, a water pump, pipes, and a cooling tower. The water temperature supplied to the system is between 20–30°C, with a flow rate of 50 m³/h.
Cooling method: Water enters and exits from two holes.
8. Electrical Control System
The electrical control system consists of both the power supply and control systems.
The power system supplies energy to each inductor through power cabinets. The control system manages the combined furnace, main machine, double-head winding machine, and cooling water system, ensuring they operate in sequence. The combined furnace control system includes the melting furnace and holding furnace systems. The operation cabinets for the melting and holding furnaces are installed near the respective systems.
Control buttons for start and stop, rotary switches for adjustment, meters for displaying power, voltage, and current.
9. Charging System
This system is capable of charging entire copper plates.

The thermocouple includes the temperature of the molten copper and the temperature of the cooling water.
