Private enterprises won the bid for "West-East Gas Transmission" from Iran

At the 2006 China Guangdong-Emirate United Arab Emirates Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair held in Dubai recently, the Guangdong private company Panyu Zhujiang Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. signed a 360 million U.S. dollar contract for export of straight seam arc welded pipes with the Iranian National Natural Gas Corporation and became the biggest winner. The steel pipe purchased by the Iranian National Natural Gas Company will be used for the large-scale natural gas transmission projects in Iran’s “west-to-east gas pipeline”.

It is reported that the Iranian National Natural Gas Company is an Iranian state-owned company that controls about 29 trillion cubic meters of Iranian natural gas reserves, which accounts for 18% of the world's total natural gas. It also has 10 large natural gas refining plants. In addition to supplying natural gas to 350 cities in Iran, the company also sells a large number of products to Turkey, Jordan, UAE and Europe, and plays an important role in meeting the energy needs of Arab countries.

The 300,000 tons of steel pipes purchased by the Iranian National Natural Gas Company will be used for the large-scale natural gas transmission projects in Iran’s “west-to-east gas pipeline” with a total length of 504 kilometers. In order to win the order for this project, many famous companies around the world competed for each other. After several months of communication and negotiations, Panyu Zhujiang Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. came out on the strength of strong technical strength and superior product performance, and eventually won the big list. Recently, the company has conducted trial production of this project. After being inspected by authoritative professional inspection agencies in China, the product has fully met the standards required by the Iranian project.
