Jiujiang Petrochemical Engine Oil Lubricating Oil Lubrication Technology Significant Energy Saving Effect

Recently, Sinopec Corp. Jiujiang Petrochemical Company transformed the lubricating oil system of 16 units of catalytic cracking units and successfully applied oil mist lubrication technology. After six months of industrial application, the amount of lubricating oil has been reduced by 80%. The pump has achieved the best lubrication effect, reduced the equipment failure rate, and the bearing service life has also been extended by 3 to 6 times.

This technology changes the traditional form of lubrication of the pump, uses the intermittently saturated wet-mist method to deliver oil, uses the purified air inside the device to fully atomize the oil in the oil mist generator, and periodically injects the compressed air to the bearings. The liquid lubricant turns into a gaseous oil mist and is pumped into the lubrication points to lubricate the pump bearings to form a thin film of oil. The lubrication of the pump bearings is changed from the traditional “oil-immersed” manual lubrication to the “forced” mechanical automation lubrication. . This technology maintains a continuously clean lubrication supply, drastically reducing lubricant consumption and cooling water usage. In addition, after using the oil mist lubrication system, the temperature of the bearing housing of the pump has dropped by an average of 12°C. It does not require the cooling water of the bearing housing and can save more than 80% of water.
