Leaders of relevant cities in Chongqing said yesterday that “2004 China Chongqing International Auto Industry Exhibition†will be held at the City Exhibition Center from April 15th to 18th. At that time, under the organization of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, six major global parts and components purchasers will gather in Chongqing to examine the "subcontracting" of orders.
The so-called “subcontracting†of orders means that, in order to reduce production costs, multinational component purchasers, after receiving the order, contract the business to the parts and components companies of third world countries.
It is reported that the six buyers have provided the General Assembly with a procurement list that meets the production capacity and technical level of the parts and components enterprises in the city, and submitted international procurement standards and specifications.
It is understood that the Chongqing Auto Show is the fourth-largest auto show in China following Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. At that time, high-end luxury cars including the American Hummer H2 and Jaguar will be unveiled. During the exhibition, activities such as the "8-hour beautiful new Chongqing famous car road test tour" will be held.
