Tianwei Baobian (Hefei) Transformer Co., Ltd. (Tianwei Hechang) successfully tested the first 550 kV transformer in recent days, filling the gap of high voltage and large capacity transformers in Anhui Province. Since re-combining the Feijinhuan Transformer Factory in 2004, Tianwei has further improved its product specifications while increasing the capacity of 110 kV and 220 kV transformers. According to Ding Qiang, chairman of Tianwei Group and Tianwei Baozheng, Tianwei has changed its output value target of 2010 from 1 billion yuan to 2 billion yuan. The successful trial production of this 550 kV transformer indicates that the north-south strategic layout of Tianwei Group's three parks and one base has been formed.
